This is a beautiful and unique gift box and will surely dress up any gift. At first I was confused because the insert was put in incorrectly (into the top, not bottom). When I put the chain in the box, the excess chain in the back slipped through the filigree design (which was actually the top of the box). Finally I realized I had the box upside down. It seems a little strange that the top of the box is so much larger than the bottom so at first that didn't stand out. I checked the images online and discovered I needed to reverse everything. I don't think this would have been a problem if the insert hadn't been placed in the top instead of the bottom to begin with. So, if you're having trouble getting this to work, check the online images to make sure the insert is in correctly and the larger portion is the top of the box.
