Thetimber is then cut (bookmatched) in our workshop to ensure the timber remains strong and stable. Next, the timber is cut to size, carved, drilled and sanded by hand.Custom made brass hinges are then installed and the box is left for 24hours to cure. We take pride in the final process – finishing. Each box is handsanded, coated with a mixture of bees wax and burnishing oil. Theinternal velvet parts are cut to size and then installed by hand. While the wood looks good and the customized engraving was good, the material and construction inside is cheapServed me well. I did not know the exact time I was planning to propose, but while searching for that moment while in WDW Magic Kingdom, I was easily able to carry the ring around in my pocket all day in this beautiful case.This box is extremely well made. It is sleek and impressive. I used this to propose and took this box across country on a plane, hid it in my front pants pocket without giving away the surprise. I think every jeweler should be giving away a box like this when someone buys an engagement ring.This box is a neat way of gifting a ring. But the stone does have to fit the width of the box. It is also a great way to display your favourite ring, that is how I am using it. Great for a gift, display or packing purposes.I wanted something different and personalized. When it came in and I saw it; I knew I made the right choice.My girlfriend (now fiancée) absolutely loves the box!It feels a little delicate. The part that holds the ring is kinda fragile but I honesty expected it to be. It makes me nervous to try to open the box up all the way because it seems as though the inner workings could tear if opened too far. It starts to get harder to open as you get closer to having it fully opened so I stop just shy of that.But seriously - that was all just minor details. The craftsmanship that went into making this is expert. Definitely worth the purchase over anything else I’ve seen. I trust this box to hold up the way I need it to as long as I just am not rough when opening it.All I can say is “WOW”. Honestly this product is a beautiful piece of art.
